The sex left and everyone flipped. Fitst the women didnt wanna do it but they eventually gave in. The men went crazy when they found out. They couldnt overpower their wives because they didnt have the will power or the mental strength did. So the strong Lysistrata overpowered. I wonder whats going to happen next.

Why cant we be friends?

Why are two of the powerhouse in one state fighting. Thisis like fighting your own family. Lysistrata put it best when she told them that they rely on each other for help. Luckily the men had women as strong as their ego's were.

Strong Woman

Wow Lysistrata is such a leader in this play. Not only does she call all these women and get them to obstain from sex, she did it alone. Even in the eyes of savage men she never backed down to them. It is true that Lampito helped her but never the less it was most of Lysistrata's idea. She even got the result she wanted and in less than a day. Thats a string woman.

Why so serious?

The guys are rediculously ticked off. I mean its only sex, i mean its really not that big of a deal. These guys are literally trying to break down doors trying to get to their wives and sex. Can't they realize that there are more important things in life than sex!

Could it?

Do you belive tht if women obstained from sex in todays world the plan would work. I seriously dont think it would. In todays world sex is easily used for things like money, fun, or even pitty. The vaules of the athenians are far more complex and as time passes i believe out values drop lower and lower.

Powerful Beings

Women are the most powerful beings to me. The play proved that women have weapons that are useful, they can control the ways of men. Men have this masculinity and strength, but they also have this deep desire which is sex. Only women can control it and they will when it is needed. This is why they were powerful in the play and they still are til this day.

Any other way?

Could the women have found a better way to prove their point or was it good just as it was? I think something else could have been done. They could have completely left, nade a silent treatment, took away the mens children, or even cheated (even though thats quite drastic). Truly sex is not all thats on their minds, deep down they will eventually feel.

Give me peace!

Peace was used as such a symbol. Besides the fact that her name is the same thing she symbolizes she also has another odd aspect. She comes out unclothed and all the men finally pay attention. Its kind of sad that the only thing that could get a mans attention is a naked woman...kind of resembling sex itself.

ok Kinesias is all struck and fed up with the fact that Myrrhine is all celibate and all right. So he thinks he's puttin on his lil mojo and shes really playin with him. I mean this clearly shows that when it comes to sex men are really blind becuse clearly she is procrastinating and never actually planning on having any sex with him... So he's jus left clueless while Myrrhine is being all devious and sneakaay.

lol So the women were led by Lysistrata...strong willed and prepared for what was the happen.. she brings up the plans to the women and they are about to walk out before anything even gets to happen. they are all Anything but that. Once they actually get into it and take the oath its gets to the men and they are already at wits end with the womens actions. They are all liek anything but that also... i jus find it funny that both sexes are so stressed over the concept of celibacy.
