Procrastinators Unite Tomorrow

OK.....procrastination is a big issue with me...... man i gotta fix that.....!!!

Hedda over...imagine that lol

WEll wrapping up the book i liked it, well more than the house of bernarda alba. The love triangle within the story, the use of power, and the social hierarchy within the book made it really intresting. Compelling and intresting that kinda kept you guess even tho you kinda knew who was goin to get it. Love triangles, maunscripts, pistols, power, hats, windows..... lol i think im ready to get outta this and move on to Lysistrat!

Is death Freedom?

Between the past two plays we've read death has been the means of escape. Is death truly the means of escape in the social hierarchy? Can you only reach true freedom by dying or is there an alternative that the characters just are not seeing? It seems like when they lose what they have worked so hard for or worked so hard to pursue, they give uo and find that easiest way out....death.

Miss Tesman?

How much power does she truly have in the house. She is all for making Tesman happy and evidently Tesman is happy with Hedda. So she keeps her mouth shut for Tesmans sake or is she truly trying to impress Hedda. When Hedda was given a challenge with Thea later on in the play she eventually fell due to the "lack or power". So if that is true than what if Miss Tesman would have opened her mouth and told Hedda to shtu up sometimes. Would her power over Tesman still be the same?

One crazy chica

Ok so is Hedda jus mean in general, is she power thirsty, or is she bein mean in order to keep order in her life and her house. It surely does keep control over Tesman and Aunt Julie. It half way works with Lovborg until he notices she doesnt run him. But when she reached her last male figure, Judge Brack, it doesnt work anymore. Sho is she jus mean to people that she knows she can control or is it all for power until she reaches something that she can't control.

Triangles are...

This love triangle is sharp lol... I mean you Have Hedda who wants a bit of everybody, Tesman who jus uh and not really together, Lovborg who wants Thea and Hedda, and Judge Brack whose had this secret little crushie on Hedda but waits til the exact right moment until he actual wants to reveal it. I mean.... gosh how tangled can this web get, somebpdy had to get hurt in the end and we all know whose Hedda....took the shot.

Dont play with guns

You get shot! Lovborg dies at the gun of Hedda. Whether someone killed him or not nobody really knows. But this same symbol of power and strengh also becomes the symbol for death in the story. Hedda also plays with the pistols, as they could be her strength and sense of pride sense they are comin from her father. But she plays with guns with the wrong people, sure she can use them with Tesman and Lovborg but she tries to use it with Judge Brack and he takes it right out of her palms. Also taking the power out of her palms leaving her defenseless and now Brack woth the power.

Manuscripts and drinking dont mix

Ok... he looses his head a little bit and gets drunks at a party. Really serious considering he had had been on a pretty good sober streak before this. But the second he messes up and snaps that streak his life takes a big turn and the manuscripts disappear(taken by Hedda). He notices that he has lost something he has worked for all because of drinking.... that one mistake... The maunscripts meant something big to him and when he looses that its like he looses his heart and hope for anything good to happen.

The doormat says Tesman

Hedda walks all over this guy. I dont know if he ever had and power in the relationship prior to this play but it is clear he has non now. He is a man of the house who let Hedda disrespect his mother, lets her walk all over him, and it jus seems like he simply doesnt care! Tesman is a child stuck in a mans body stcuk in the past...lol im mean come on uh.....grow up here..be a man!

Why did she really?!

Why did Hedda really kill herself? A lot of my fellow colleagues say from her loss of power or because she is a wimp. I think that it is a combination of all of thses things. Shes looses her power over everyone. Lovborg dies because of the manuscript deal and the pistol she gives him, she has no type of real relationship with Tesman, Thea is becoming and opposition to her power, and you have Judge Brack who is one male figure that Hedda can not control. Along with this she could be put on trial for the gun givin to Lovborg. I belive all of these put together could cause major distress and leave a person pretty twisted inside.

The puppet master

I see Judge Brack as this master planning guy who slowly schemes his way into the play. He wants to be involved into this love triangle and he also gets himself involved with the pistols finding out that they are Hedda's. Then he eventually becomes Hedda's puppet master and gives her the choice to stay attached to the strings or to cut herself loose and let her fall to his grasp over her.
